Our hike to Stewart Falls

We enjoyed a nice fall hike to Stewart Falls the other weekend when Akira, the Japanese exchange student, was here. Nate was camping for research that's why he wasn't with us. It was a beautiful hike with great company.

New skills

Holden has learned so many new things lately. He can roll across the room in seconds, pivot on his tummy to reach toys, and even occasionally lurch forward when he brings his knees under him and explodes out. He eats rice cereal and mashed up fruits and veggies, he loved them from the first bite. Holden can also sit up and is mastering his hand eye coordination even more. I can't believe he is 6 months old! I am loving every minute of being his mommy I just wish time wouldn't fly by so fast. I love the new stages and I'm excited for everything he is learning but I miss the little newborn too.

The park

Holden loves being outside and going for walks. We really enjoy the park and now that he can go on the swing all by himself it is even more fun. I had to put him in to face the lawn mower, he loves watching things that go: cars, buses, trains, and people; he is all boy.

Library

This is for uncle Josh, we promised he would learn to say "privet Josh" by the time he returns home from his mission.
Holden and I have been attending story time at the library. We sing songs and a great big book is read out loud  We also look at the board books. Holden however is most interested in watching the other children. He just stares as they crawl, walk, and run around.

Halloween Fun

We carved pumpkins, went to our ward party, ate a halloweenie dinner, and put our cute nakie baby in a pumpkin!
